So this was kind of a random thing, but a guy in my class asked if I could cosplay for a photoshot his brother needed a model for, and well considering the fact that it had the word cosplay in it. I said yes.I also got a bit more respect for Models... that is freking hard work O.o
I know there are still some things that need to be done on this cosplay. And i think that is part of the true joy of cosplay. that you take the time and try until the result is percect.
and the gun is crapy cause it was made two am

All and all this is a great cosplay but there are some details that weren't played up in the right way. As a crossplayer myself I know it can be difficult to hide the laidies and this was down in a good way. The only issue wtih the chest band is that it is truly the gun harness and should meet up with the straps on the outside of the jacket as well as the inside.
The material used is also a bit shiny for the character seeing he is more of a grundge character, he may keep clean for the most part but the material itself is true leather which does not have that white shine to it. I can though see them being able to justify the matieral because the older games weren't as well developed and did seem to be a bit shiny in video.
The wig needs to be styled a bit, there is an issue with the fibers from the wig not having layered points so it looks as if it was simply chopped off and doesn't look as natural as it should.
The props are well done, the gun though could be made more acturatly seeing it is more of less Dante's true love. <3
I say all of these things and what really makes this photo amazing is the photo itself. It really speaks of the characters in action attitude. The fact that he is going to stand up, sit down, and rid you like a skateboard is seen so well in the eyes of the cosplayer themselves.
I think you did an amazing job, little work needed but obviously made well.

i also have to be careful about hitting people cause mine is made out of pvc pipe and resin

Mine is made of wood, so I can't use it for many conventions,So I am not allowed to hit anyone. I also had to make new guns so that it would look more like the real sized thing.
Did you make your sword yourself or did you buy it?

Love the coat and pants. The wig looks a little choppy instead of ending naturally though. Still doesn't look bad on you though.

And I can't say anything but that my wig cutting skills has approved a bit sense that time.
I work on improving as much as I can on my cosplay both on the costume and the wig.

It's one thing to model for a cosplay, but it takes a whole lot more to gender-bend cosplay, but you make an amazing Dante, well done on such an amazing result, you should be extremely proud of yourself ^^
I'm sure Dante himself would be very very impressed

Well making it look good is only the second most important thing, enjoying it is of course the main thing, and if it's like the rest of your work I'm sure it'll look as amazing as it was making it

Hopefully, we will get some good people to take some photos. and i still say that feeling good about yourself is just as important as fan in cosplay. Cause if you don't feel well, then you won't have fun.

Most people was laughing a bit at me when they heard I was going to cosplay as Dante from dmc3 But I never let that stop me. I love the character of Dante, Even if I don't really have the body for it. I just try to make it work.
So what on earth do you mean with that you could never costly as Dante? O.o

I usually go for the badass once... I think Dante is the only character that I have requested paintings of on my wall... and I have three of the four games. I think it is good that people have their doubts, It makes it much more fun to impress.

in a photoshot... yeah pretty much, I have never really posed as a model or for cosplay pictures like that, if I don't remember wrong it was about 300 photos of that shoot, I was to tall to be standing so I had to kind of sit, the whole thing took about an hour. It was a little heavy, but still fun. I love when people ask me for a cosplay photo, makes me feel like I have a good one you know.
