Description
Just for fun! I've been painting and playing Pokemon almost exclusively for 2 weeks, and have decided to indulge the itch to paint my new favorite pokes. "insect" was also a daily painting prompt by one of my favorite artists @amyrosegeden on Instagram which got me to start work on a Bartram's Hairstreak sketch (but it's still too early to show that) so bugs were on my mind. This piece turned out to be way more detailed than I thought it'd be. I just kept finding more things to add as I went along. I spent an hour or two on the sketch, then about 4 hours painting it this morning.

I covered the berries in ice, like they do to the oranges here in Florida when the temperature drops too low (because, ice). I also read that the young jewel caterpillars also "skeletonize" leaves (which was a new term for me!) so I added a few of those too because they look cool.
I based the pokemon Frosmoth on the real-life monkey moth, who are fuzzy and have a nice shape
