Doodles done after reading an article in National Geographic about the Harp Seals here in Canada and how they're getting all beaten for their fur, but more importantly how they are losing their habitats because of melting polar ice caps due to global warming. I'm doing a reseach paper at the moment on the effects of global warming, and on reproduction in art and art theory, and it all comes together quite nicely. The seals in the article were just SO cute.Related content

Ahhh global warming's just terrible! And the facts are there - its just that no one's doing enough about it. The fact that australia refused to sign the 'kyoto' agreement really upsets me =_= and our prime minister says we're doing enough to cut back greenhouse emissions.... but now the government's proposing/planning to build de-salination plants here (coz of lack of water) instead of just recycling it. And those plants produce a lot of greenhouse gases @_@ ...not to mention costly.
And the poor seals! ;_; (omg o____o i wrote a lot!!!! I must sound like the biggest geek ever XD but i'm passionate about the environment very much 
And they're just soooooo cute!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who is concerned. I'm eventually making a website that's green related. half for a flash experiment, half for just general getting people our age and in the art community more aware of things. I want to have like little things that everyone can do to help a little, and places that you can donate to. stuff like that. anyhoo! i rambled too!

I like the colors and the soft fuzzy feel. Such a sad story though. It's so horrible how cute animals are being used for their fur.
