BUT,
If you remember the episode in its entirety-

THAT WASN'T EVEN CROC WHO SAID IT.
Btas Croc is a big dumb tough guy that Batman can only overpower through brains.
His design doesn't scream crocodile, he looks more like a zombie, this croc-like mutation being some kind of birth-genetic mishap.

Now in The Batman,
Killer Croc LOOKS like a reptilian-human hybrid,
But as a twist; Nobody knows how he came to be.
Some say he was a Government Project, others say he messed with some bad Juju in the Bayou,
Regardless, The Batman's Killer Croc has a head on his shoulders, thinking up ways to use his amphibious nature to his advantage to commit crimes while impeding any law enforcement that could possibly interfere.
Plus that Cajun accent is just delicious.
