So today we got 3 new characters for smash bros confirmed.
the veteran Captain Falcon
and two fire emblem characters: Lucina and Robin, robin being the avatar character in fire emblem awakening.

Personally I like all 3, CF is back and he's super thrilled here, Robin looks like a fun character to use, might and magic in his/her moveset (since you can change the gender) And lucina was one of my smash hopefuls come true which made me happy, though seeing her moveset (which was like only one in the vid) at first i thought she was a reskin of marth, but the official site says she's an individual. so of course this is what makes me a bit distraught, everyone is pretty much putting down this character saying "bawwww clone me no likey they suck" and acting like its the worst thing in the world.

here's my two cents in the defence of her. For starters, anyone who's played or knows something about fire emblem awakening will know that Lucina poses as the great hero Marth at first, so what were you expecting if she knows how he fights? Also pretty sure she'll use some time bending powers in smash, which marth doesn't have, so its likely that she won't be a clone. and what you realy expect sakurai to say in the next direct "uh yea she's very similar to marth and that's it" No, there's got to be more for her than that alright, don't just go jumping to the gun like that.

also consider this: there'll ALWAYS be clone characters in every smash bros, even since the first, you know mario's brother Luigi was the first clone fighter, and in a way he's still been a clone of mario in the others, even with more varied moves in the games he's still had similar attacks to mario, there's no changing that. And on the subject of clones, its not like she's the first one in 4, luigi and toon link both were confirmed early on proving that the no clone theory in smash 4 was a lie. And to add, i do see people being okay with bringing back lucas and falco despite the fact that they are clones. and watch either of em get confirmed and nobody bat an eye. but confirm a newcomer with a similar moveset of another character and everyone loses their minds hell if bowser jr gets in maybe i bet they'll give him the same treatment as lucina is getting, which will make me even more disapointed in the fanbase....

Now a lot of people are also butthurt that Chrom is nothin more than Robin's final smash. Well i got a theory on that. I think he was originally going to be there instead of robin but because of the gematsu leak, sakurai decided to give a big f you to gematsu for leaking the info and changing it up so he isn't playable, and is probably going to do that for the chorus men and shulk, downgrading them into assists instead of playable characters. Cause many months back someone leaked a subspace emissary like story mode for smash 4, and sakurai decided to cancel it because he felt the wow factor was gone. and changed it to a melee like adventure mode we've seen in the last direct. that's what i think he's doing with the 3 leaked, he's going to change it up as a punishment for those who leaked it as a way to have them be the bad apples that ruined the bunch. that's just my theory though.

So back to the pic, been waiting for captain Falcon to arrive in the game for a while, and for him to come back in the new intro video made me very happy. so CF here is partying hard and Lucina is a little surprised at how excited he is (her expression is also there cause falcon's the one who probably beat the living hell out of chrom. and pretty sure that chrom is her father) and luigi here explains the fact that this is all he has left since an F Zero game hasn't been made in a long time.

So fun lil prediction time: I got two lil predictions.
so earlier today before the video was streamed, miiverse got a post of Rayman being a trophy in 4, some speculated that rayman may end up being the hint of the next smash bros character to be in, other believe that he is just the trophy;
Anyone who knows fire emblem will know that the mage Tharja would stalk and flirt with the avatar character no matter the gender, and since Robin was that character really, I predict that Tharja will be an assist trophy, and as a lil gimmick she'll appear more likely and frequently if Robin is in the match, and when Robin is unlocked, Tharja's assist trophy will also be unlocked as well.

So anyways comment and enjoy, and really people try not to go all flame war and argumentative on this, i really hate those.
