It was 52 degrees F here today in upstate New York. Maybe summer will come quickly?

Don't even mention, here in Budapest we had 59F for Christmas. You have to whitewash to see a white Christmas nowadays... Then, within one night it dropped to 14F and that is not funny. (But  interesting: 15C to 14F is a BIG difference! ) Nevertheless, Reflected Mallards (especially IIs) love duckweed like this. (What a tell-tale name! )

I think it is the same weed and it was not funny, either, to paddle through it... Full stroke of two of us moved us 2" forward... (More than a yard, actually, then almost the same back, and the final result was the 2". Maybe a bit less. )

It's called duckweed and comes in various shapes and sizes.
