Personal Information
Likes:
Ryuu is quite a simple and easy going boy and prefer basic vanilla [keep it basic], in spite of what he wears/ outer appearance; with rich silk fabric and embroidery, it isn't hard to please him. Driven by curiosity after a life of being sheltered and isolated from civilization, just about anything would catch his eyes to the point he would be unable to say 'no' to anyone who asked for help or offer him something [be it good or bad]. Quite a strange turn about for someone who'd been in deep isolation his entire life to love helping out others. Still he would not part from his roots in a more fine traditional culture, taking time having a relaxation afternoon in meditation, peace and solitude, while leaving in his early hours in the morning practicing his martial art or stance. Being a lover of martial art, Ryuu would be more than happy to learn physical combat and varies other skills away from his own schooling. Often than not he would be compared to an old man, pointing out his liking for a good brew of green tea or green tea flavor in general, added to his favorite snack in Sakura Mocchi cakes. As a child often Ryuu have been told stories of great dragons, from then on he'd developed admiration for the creature to the point it became his most favorite and cherished mythical beast. His attraction later on having learnt he's an association with dragons blew him away, however dragons are not the only animal he is fond of, he also found himself incredibly fond of other creatures and beasts akin to a childlike fascination. Thanks to this childlike curiosity Ryuu loves to learn new things, experiences both the bad and the good; learning through experiences.
Dislikes:
Being a good kid, with an casual personality there isn't much that Ryuu come to dislike, regardless he is no saint either, while inwardlt harbors a positively burning hatred for anything that is associated with deep rich red; a colour of blood, be it a red rose, red beads etc. Strangely enough his cloak/ haori is red, only come to conclusion in his mind a skewered logic it was because it was a precious gift from his deceased uncle and that it was not deep red of blood, rather it was a faded blue-ish cold red with floral patterns he'd liked. Thanks to his strong aversion to blood, Ryuu doesn't like looking into mirrors, an unfortunate thing due to his eyes are deep crimson red. As a martial artist he was raised to be respectful and honorable and typically grew a dislike for those who disrespect the rules or tramples over honors; such as lying, using dirty tactics along the line, this also leads into another pet peeve of his; hurting others, harming innocent people resulting his impulsive springing into action in order to defend them if they cannot themselves. Morally he could not watch others getting hurt. Another note, he hates being a burden or burdening other people with himself, in spite of himself is dying of curiosity or being in the dark [he hates that] and wished to know/ gain knowledge of a certain topic... he would just silently let it pass and find it out on his own. Ryuu also harbor another dislike, aborning from the small seed of envy by the fact he could not take dragon form, yes he could somewhat summon his wings... but he could not be like other dragons in their dragon forms. Often it left him feeling inferior and weak.
Fears:
His aversion to blood and colour deep red isn't just simply a dislike, rather it is a deep rooted fear that developed into a severe hemophobia [extreme fear of blood] due to his past trauma as a child, the sight of it or it been spilled onto himself would have him paralyzed and trembling in fear. Ryuu would without question avoid anything involving that matter or the colour of it. The reason behind himself wearing bandages on his arms to hands and fingers and his feet, it is to avoid blood staining them. His other fears, typically like everyone else, is the fear of losing and unable to protect those dear and beloved to him, paralleled into another fear of himself hurting them being weak and he lacked the confident to trust in himself making a repeat of the terrible past. The fear of being rejected, a failure, losing, but most of all nothing beats loneliness, surely he'd gotten used to solitude it doesn't mean he likes it.
Strengths:
Ryuu have two noticeable strengths, one which is his positive perspective and views of both people and all the things around him, not one to dwell or wallow in misery type no matter if the negative aspect is overwhelming, he would find one positive trait and point it out. While doing this he would smile, not a smirk or a forced or mask smile. All of his smiles are sunny, bright and very genuine. His honesty and smiles are often been told 'blinding', add in his overly trusting and honesty regardless if it would be his downfall he'll keep on standing up and won't give up. And two, Ryuu have decent fighting ability as a martial artist, but he is far from perfect, but his persistence in never giving up may both be his undoing and strength.
Weaknesses:
Brimming with good Ryuu is very much too compassion and merciful, often it led him unable to harm others aside from beating them in a fair and square battle while withheld back the finishing blow, both in fear of spilling blood and harming others. He'd rather befriends individuals than using his strength to hurt. This would become a burden most in his life, if an enemy were to use his mercy to backstab him [often left him injured] in this moment of weakness, but still Ryuu wouldn't hold it against them. At best Ryuu would only knock them out and leave them to sleep it off with... whatever intention the others are having to 'cool' down from their fit of rage or tantrum. His other weakness is when he is unable to control himself when his emotions are high especially being angry. Ryuu rarely becomes angry, and when he does he loses common senses and often goes on a rampage, in his rampage if he successfully hurt someone his own chi/ aura learning through martial art taught by his parents and uncle would have a backlash and binds himself in a reprimand/ punishment, from losing his way of his teaching. The other known weakness is light attribute, being the person who associated with darkness affinity, contradict to his bright personality Ryuu will take quite a massive damage if he is attacked by light force, not holy. The other... problem he has is as a comical relief...Ryuu might tend to switch back to dragonic language when speaking or writing, unless someone points this out to him he wouldn't realize this.
Goals:
Ryuu's goal is to learn all he could, be wised, knowledgeable as well as gaining experiences in combat, therefore next time he comes home he returns a stronger person both mentally and physically. All while in hope his journey would lead him down the right path and finally understanding the teaching passed down from his family and transcend as one of most well known masters, and make his family proud, at the same time avoidance of falling down the path of destruction and fail them. Aside from his aim, Ryuu makes it priority if his brother's whereabouts are known, abandon all of his goals to find his sibling.
Personality:
Generally Ryuu is a friendly person who smiles often than not, casual spoken and majority of the time frankly too blunt; he would props to say what's there to say and not the type to use words verbally twist it around or manipulate it; he's too honest for that, of course this would most of the time lead him to say something might suggestive while he himself takes it literally for what it is. Lying and cheating or those along the same lines often be frown upon by him, viewing them as dishonorable and unworthy of being associated with. Majority of the time Ryuu would be found wandering and being a curious as well as a lost kitten to his new environment, very sociable and heart warming person and easily befriending others. Many people have pointed out he's very naive and innocent, but not too innocent he would be clueless or walking into a trap unprepared. In his own right, Ryuu can be a sweetheart and a light hearted person. The one who always smiles in the face of gloomy situation and be casual and cool in a chaotic mess environment. However... he may turn unpleasant if he is angered.
To a friend and family, he would cherish the bond he would have with them and treats them attentively, often sticking to them like glue and always seeks them out. Their opinions to him matters the most as he gives them his highest regards. Hurting them would be out of his dictionary, he would try his best to be there, a supportive and a comfort for them. Without hesitating or a second thought if they are in trouble he would spring to their protection or immediately help them, the urgency to keep his friends and family safe even if it means self sacrificing himself in the doing so.
To others he would be genuinely curious about them in a friendly and polite mannerism, starting off a random conversation and offering his name and his help; if situation calls for it, while casually befriending the person. However if this person becomes an enemy and proven to be hostile, Ryuu wouldn't treat them any differently, unless they are attempting his life or hurting others he would effectively try and knock them out and then with care put them into the infirmary bed, as a mean for them to 'cool' down. If not, and the hostility is still being openly display with no resolve is found, Ryuu will just politely leave, given if no one is hurt.
History:
Ryuu's birth was a blessing upon the dragon kins, born as the symbol of compassion and one day brings unity... his name Ryuu-shin literally means 'Dragon Heart', his being came to be; evolved from the fragment of a dragon's heart after centuries of being soaked in blood and tears of its dragon's kins and accumulated magical energies gathered throughout in the land and miraculously turned into an individual with will of their own. Paralleled to the Dragon's heart fragment is the Dragon's eye, Ryuu's younger twin brother. Unfortunately their birth was also a curse, it triggered one of the greatest war among the dragons, bringing about the second biggest battle almost brought the entire species/ race onto its knees, though the twins themselves had nothing to do with the war itself; they were only fought over.
Eventually when the war did die out Ryuu managed to remain safe in the dragon's clan, sadly his twin was snatched away as the price. Ryuu was far too young to remember any of this event, therefore it was not spoken of. It was decided then and there Ryuu should be raised by the strongest dragon clan, he have a strong father, a loving mother, an overprotective elder sister and an energetic middle sister to dote over him. Nurturing him well into becoming a good soul or else he would stray from that light and good path to one of dark and evil. Training his mind, body and soul, learning the dance of martial art passed down the family for generations and the freedom to glide in the air, it brought him a strong sense of peace. That was until an incident happened, when his father sent him to his uncle, an exiled elderly dragon who bares the other half of the family legacy. To learn and experience what the elder had; not to fall. A test. The elder dragon was strict and trained Ryuu hard, but he was not unkind, giving the boy his love as well as his cloak/haori to warm himself, evidently it became one of Ryuu's most treasured item.
All did not go well...the boy made a mistake, the same mistake the elder dragon had and failed the test. As a backlash, a rebound, Ryuu's rational thoughts were clouded, overruled by overwhelming emotions going out of control and on a rampage. Fearing the boy falling into the path of darkness like he had. To save his nephew's life, the elder dragon would give his life and blood to the boy; a second chance and finally snapped him out of his rampage to watch in horror at what he had done. In his small, tiny hands were his uncle's bleeding and beating heart. Drenched in blood. Paralyzed with fear, hyperventilating, confused and scared looked to his uncle only to see the elder dragon... dead. Tranquility were lost.
Mentally scarred, severely traumatized and his psyche damaged, the family caring for him immediately took Ryuu back home and forced to erased his memories of that horrific event... yet no matter what Ryuu's deep rooted fear of blood was never forgotten, the sight of blood would have him constantly dreading and terrified. What his uncle had done was a cruel thing, crippled him, regardless it would aided Ryuu back to the correct path, fearing blood meant he wouldn't harm anyone innocent or otherwise. Fear cripple one's ability to ruthlessly kill or murder in cold blood. His life does not stop there. Growing up among the dragons Ryuu found himself becoming the topic of other's scorn due to his inability to take dragon form. They blamed it on the fact he was not born a natural dragon, but a fragment, they called him 'Broken' a fake, a pseudo dragon. Tossing away any special meaning of being born from the 'Dragon heart' shard. The comfort, supporting and reassuring from his family left Ryuu deaf ears to those spoken ill of him and continued to pursue in his family's martial art. Still the inability to take dragon form did plagued his mind, and often left him feeling inferior.
A few years later, another war broke out, a final war of the dragons. This time the dragons kind were not spared along with the others and his clan they were all wiped out, bringing about the great extinction the end of dragon era, leaving Ryuu the few handful sole survivors. Ryuu did not hate, promising his family to let go of his anger and resentment. As a twelve years old, he remained in his birthplace, even if he was alone and buried his people and a special place for his family to be remembered, pray for them and hoped they all rest in peace. As dragons they lived in isolation away from outside world. Ryuu remained in his ruined city until he was sixteen, it was then he'd decided he would travel, after finding his parent's last message to him... the knowledge of his younger twin brother. Ryuu then sets out to travel the world, learning knowledge, while seeking his lost sibling his only remaining family... hopefully.
Misc. Information:
Ryuu... may forget to switch mortal tongue and often by default use his dragonic language.(whoops.)
Ryuu has somewhat of a 'no sense of direction' and often be found wandering lost as a mean of 'wandering for adventure' or 'wandering out of curiosity' his logic.
Ryuu is quite a decent chef, having met a rather... mad but fabulous chef who taught him how to cook even if the chef himself tried to feed Ryuu human meat dishes and attempted to turned him into his main ingredient.
His cloak is worn out is a precious memento from his uncle, even if he have no memory of it, his father told him it was a gift from his uncle. He'd worn it ever since and took great care of the clothing.
Having adopted his father's hairstyle, Ryuu more or less refuses to let it down from his tied up bun... unless it was sleeping or showering.
He's very sheltered, there's only a limited amount of information he knows. Everything else to him is rather dot dot dot and blank.
He's not very well verse in magic... even using his darkness based affinity, at best he could lace darkness with his physical attack... otherwise he dared not test out magic... on second note his usage of magic is rather very frightful, he doesn't trust himself in using it or expect a disaster to happen. ( ;v; )
Ryuu often misses his family terribly, especially if he sees other happy family, yet he does not show it. He is not beyond envy.

Paragraph Sample:
A long, long stare and blinked at the sign on the street and a confused look plastered onto the young male's face, "I could have sworn it was this way...?" Now that was strange looking at his map again with another confused blink and wondered, " How did I ended up the opposite side? Maybe I should ask for directions...?" question mark for uncertainty and where to ask. Looking around to find someone, yet the owner himself have not realized he was holding the map upside down unable to read a map, it was the first time he'd seen a map after all... one written in a strange language not of dragons. "Ah!" after spotting a place where there's a lot of people going into, perfect, "an informative place~" Ryuu happily thought in his mind and walked over to what appeared to be a bank. Suddenly loud gasping noises, yelling and screaming coming from within the building. Blinking once more out of curiosity and he thought out loud, "must be a busy day...?" surely there wasn't anything like this back home...not at least anyway, everything was always calms unless it was the war and there's no war here.
Once through the door Ryuu was met with a sight... something just doesn't feel right, regardless he didn't understand what these people were doing anyway. Was that guy with the black mask the leader or something? He was giving out the orders and everyone was just quite and doing as he says... ah perhaps it was best if he asked the man for directions right? Surely he could help. Unfortunately the moment he headed toward the man in the black mask, he was yelled at, "Kid! Hands up and back away or else!" In a very threatening tone. "I was just--" Ryuu was interrupted as a hard, cold and grey... stick(?) points at him. Somehow that gesture irritated him, instead of replying, Ryuu shot out his bandaged wrapped hand and grabbed the gun's head, with an effortless twist of his hand the metal was bent exactly ninety degree upward toward the ceiling. "You're no help." Boy was he not amused. "It's not nice pointing objects to other's face." Since this man... leader was as of no help, he would rather ask that lady over there behind the glass. ignores the incredulous stares directing his way.
"Excuse me miss, can you help me with directions?" once more Ryuu failed to realized something very crucial for the day. Living with dragon civilization, not once did he learn any common speeches or languages of mortal tongue. The poor woman only hears the boy in front of her speaking in a very...'interesting' language, while still shell-shocked at what he'd just done.
