So me and my dad were going out yesterday to try out the Mosin Nagant rifle he had bought at a gun show a few weeks back. While we were standing around waiting for a lane to open up for us, my dad calls me over, points to a compact CZ in the display case and asks if it was the one I'd been researching.

Now I had just recently acquired my CCW or Concealed Carry Weapon license. The revolver I had qualified with was way too bulky to ever be considered concealed, so I had been looking around for an alternative.

When I confirmed with my dad that it was the pistol I'd been researching, he looked the salesman right in the eye and said "We'll take it, well... he'll take it."

Out of the blue my father spent over $600 on a gun for me! It took me completely by surprise. He even bought me a third magazine and a holster. I love it when my dad does these things.

Anyway, it's a CZ 75D compact, chambered in 9mm Luger. Holds 14 rounds. Already put 100 rounds through it and it shoots like a dream and much more concealable then my revolver. I wore the gun on my hip the whole rest of the day and my mother never even noticed.
