【 H I S T O R Y 】
Velius, Tenebris. veiled, darkness.
He never knew what his name meaning meant until he turned 5 and was taught how to read and write from a kind local named Lydia. A mother and father would have been ideal for learning the essentials and have but he quickly learned to live life without knowing why his parents had abandoned him. Thankfully Lydia was kind enough to show him empathy and help him when she could. Where he lived in poverty, often sleeping in the grass where other orphans went to seek a hidden place to rest their eyes, if they were not taken in by the people of the Catrina Temple. Other orphans he played, and who often made fun of him saying he looked like a girl, with as a child always told tales they heard from travelers of Felida City where orphans didn't exists, or at least its the lie the travelers told the children, It was said to be the most beautiful city there was and a dream to live in. Velius was more concerned about getting through his day and eating, though he would forever keep the city in the back of his mind, hoping one day he'd have a family of his own living in such a place.

Once he was about 16 Lydia had gotten ill and her family had taken into consideration Velius was a family friend at this point since he was the most selfless when it came to her illness and sought out anything he could do to aid her. Unfortunately she had passed. She had been the only family he ever had and was overwhelmed by her passing, Lydia's husband felt pity on the boy and gave into Lydia's last wish for him to help Velius. He was not as fond of the boy as his wife was but at least he would do this last favor for her sake. Everyone

Everyone knew mining was a dangerous job with low pay and you had a high chance of your lifespan being lowered if it didn't kill you. With no money to hire doctors to eliminate those risks due to being poor but he worked hard enough so maybe one day he could afford such a luxury. For the next few years he would continue to work in the mines and eventually be as good as the top workers. This would lead him to a life where he had time to think what he wanted next for himself. With people in the village his age already married and starting or already started on a family, it made him felt like something was missing from his life. Maybe it was a family? Maybe he needed to seek better employment out side the village? Or maybe there was something in Felida City waiting for him. It was time to start saving for a long over due vacation to travel a bit and see what was outside this village.

T L D R - A soft caring boy who grew up in poverty and working hard to just get food in his tummy, now grown and curious what he should do next with his life, to fill the empty space.

▶ OPINIONS ON EMPERORS / CONFLICT

❝ Honestly I don't know who's side I'd should stick too. I haven't had time to really form my own opinion about either of them, I've had my own issues to deal with....But. From what I've heard the conflict between the two seems complex that maybe only ones closest to each of them can really be the only ones who can understand whats going on. Perhaps if I were to be someone close to the top maybe then I could help or attempt to.. ❞
