The raven, guide and messenger of dead. I have very close to these birds cause its my sign in indian horoscope and I just sympathize with them. Here I made a guide in some hellish world, searching for lost souls. The pendulum on his neck is showing the right way (you know magicians searching for something important on map with pendent pendulum and it is showing the place on map where the thins is- so its from that)Done in goauche, bristol board A4

Very nice.
I really like the composition, and color use.
Your coloring technique brings out the details in your picture nicely. I really like the pendulum, too.
The fact that it's traditional art, and goauche makes it even more impressive.

Blood, blood, decay and the Raven. A mervoulous portrayal of the bird, however lately I've ran into a raven plushie that was kinda bizzare because up to now I've met them negatively depicted in folklore. Yet anyway: Wonderful Deviation!

well i dont see in ravens crows.. or siply every "corvus"-beggining in latin name birds anything bad, I like them and I see them like indians- the guides on path to another world, to world after your death, spiritual. I created my own "stories" where crows are important in this way. This is some kind illustration of it. But no disease or blood

haha after featuring this I couldn't just leave it alone. I love it so much. I'm a sucker for birds and I think you did an awesome job on this one. This piece of art was just crying "fav me" and what isn't there to fav. I love your artstyle and love how the dull colors seem to bring your focus to the raven. The red sky really contrasts with the black raven and in a way reminds me of some renditions i've seen where ravens have red eyes. Great job.

I think that by putting the red in the background you achieved the effect of people thinking of red eyes.
