This is so old. So very old. (not really, probably just a week after the specific episode came out)

So, I'm gonna do some lengthy explaining here:

Leah Zimmerman is the daughter of Bob Dylan. (just go with it. He's not extremely old in my mind) That's her older brother, Jakob, who writes music, performs at The Tambourine Man, and smokes pot up in his attic bedroom. Those are the only three in the family. Her mum died in childbirth with her.

The Tambourine Man is the Dylan-Zimmerman family's coffee shoppe. Jakob is an excellent barista and plans on taking over the store once his dad hands it down to him, and Leah performs on the little stage up front, sometimes with her brother and dad, and plays guitar and sings. She makes pretty good smoothies and is in charge of the bakery they serve.

That's where Sam met Leah. She was performing in the coffee shoppe, and Sam was new in town and wanted to find a hole-in-the-wall place where he could think about stuff. He's quite an introvert for a hunky football player. They became good friends and started dating after a while (once he convinced her to join Glee Club), so when his family lost their house, he stayed with Leah every few nights in the spare bedroom. Leah's house is attached to the coffee shoppe, btw. The shoppe is in the front, house in the back.

OH! And Leah IS allowed to participate in Glee Club even thought she works for her dad and is a public performer. She technically doesn't get a paycheck, since it's a family shop, so she really isn't working for money.
