I really really like your technique here! I'm immediately drawn in by the sketchiness, the rough painterly feel. Your choice of color make me really happy too. The soberness of the brown of the background actually complements the bright pink i think, and i like how you used different colors in the hair instead of just the obvious brown hues. It gives it more depth! Nice use of colors in the face too, the more smooth strokes give it details i like. I think she (you? haha) has an adorable face.
for an icon, i like what you did with the circle flowing into the braids (a bit Jugendstil!). The only thing i'd say is that the end of the braid breaks with the flow. It just kinda flops down on an invisible floor. I think it would have been smoother to give it a little curl or swoosh at the end.
Last, the few sketch lines at the bottom of her arms are a little sloppy but it doesn't really bother that much. Overall, i like this a lot!

thank you so much for appreciating my color sense and i totally agree with you to the point that there is no flow in the braid i will keep that in mind and will improve it for sure.
