My OCs Eva and Conrad. Eva is your average 21st century girl, university student and black-belt in taekwondo, all in all a normal non-magical being… till the moment she is struck by lightning, containing the last portion of available magic from a distant planet.
Conrad is… well he is an alien-magician who was sent to retrieve the lost “goods”. He dragged Eva to his world, tried to remove the magic from her and failed. So he was forced to become Eva’s Protector and embark with her on a journey to find a new source of magic.

Here we see how exactly Conrad was...well... killed . The two were attacked by a nava. The navas are nasty evil demon-like creatures that feed on humans and can even turn their victims into one of them. They come in different shapes and sizes but since they procreate by infecting magic users, their appearance depends on the original power of the victim - the more powerful the magician, the more human-like is the nava (like here fav.me/d5w1ont ). Eva was about to be consumed by one of them, but Conrad saved her. Unfortunately he was pierced through the heart. When he was about to die, Eva unconsciously used the magic inside her and saved him, leaving a strange tattoo on the left side of his chest (fav.me/d67i9lz ). This resulted afterwards in Conrad being able to grow wings in times of battle and developing immunity against the navas’ infection.
