I just finished my first book for my school year called Dragon & Thief by Timothy Zahn. It's not really a long book, only around 26 chapters with medium sized print. If you like reading but don't like huge novels I recommend picking it up or looking into it. These are the two main characters Jack Morgan (the boy) and Draycos (the K'da). I know, a horribly name for a dragon-like creature isn't it? XDYesterday our phone line was out so I couldn't get on the internet, this is the result. I finished it up and coloured it for some practise. The book didn't describe Jack at all, only some of his clothing... so I improvised on what he might look like. I think he turned out rather well considering I never draw males. Draycos turned out alright, I guess. The red v's on him is just to show that he had red on the tips of his scales. I wasen't going to draw every little scale so I thought that would suffice.

Awesome! Love seeing another Dragonback fan. These truly are my most favorite book series of all time. (Obviously, judging by my account name XD)
But I think the name Draycos works for him (in other words, Draycos is AMAZING and he could pull of just about any name you gave him)

I think you're the only one on DA with a picture even showing the characters from Dragon and Thief. Short book, yes, but overall a very good read.

You know, I actually know Timothy Zahn. He said If we can get enough individual letters in to whoever he writes for, he might revive the series.

Sorry to dissapoint you, but Draycos has red scales with gold edges.

K'da bodies are closer to that of togers than of dragons.

Well, first off, I had apparently misread the book |D
He was right, and Draycos has gold scales with red edges.
His scales would turn black when his heart was beating faster (i.e. in combat situations), but other than that his colour never changed.

Still reading book but the front cover is misleading as to Draycos's coloring. *Thinking* Hmmm... maybe he is comming out of battle mode where he turns black? Hmm... interesting...

When I read the book I noticed that to. Along with a few mistakes in Jack's brief description versus the cover picture.

If you notice, (not ranting or anything), but usually the cover picture is made seperate from the book; There must be a million different ideas as to what the Nautulis from 20,000 leagues looked like versus the image Verne was going for.

Hey! I just finished that book a couple weeks ago. It was short, sure, but it was a pretty cool science fiction book. Despite that Draycos could've had a more creative name, he was an awesome character X3 Excellent work with the pic!

Advance huh??umm....the dude looks a little short for his head.(usualy the body is ~7 heads long..no one bloody follows that though..).thats all I see....I love that dragon!
