Taken from 's WONDERFUL "Kagome Is" and subsequent "Character Is" project.Poor Hojo. He get's totally abused in fanfiction. Most Inuyasha fanficiton blows anyway.
I couldn't wait to finish the whole thing, so I went ahead and put up part one. I would like to be the first to say I am DELIGHTED with the way it has turned out so far.

I really like Hojo a lot and I hate it when he gets bashed in fanfictions. Even those people who don't think that him and Kagome should go together probably still like him with one of her friends or something. He really is a neglected character. How sad...

Aww Hojo it's so hard to find good pics of him. And I can see how he is a abused character. Not in the seiries much, nor does he really play a role at all with Kagome, though I could not care much for HojoKagome relations. He's just a cute character in general.

LOL! Fun idea, although one of the best-loved Inuyasha fanfictions (well, on-line doujinshi) has Houjou as Inuyasha's reincarnation (Hero in the 21st Century, by the late Bachan - a wonderful friend who we all miss tremendously).

Yeah, I've read Hero. It's a terrific story... I'm more or less criticizing the... not-so-great reincarnation fics on FF.net. Too much of a good thing, yanno?

Or, too much of a BAD thing. I know what you mean. Just like with AU's - there was a time when I simply stopped reading them. 99.9% of them were just totally out of character and usually just dropped Inuyasha and friends into Kagome's school. Then I read one - "Fireflies in the Dark" (unfortunately, never to be finished) - that actually was so good that it inspired me to start writing my OWN AU. (Yes, I think hell froze over that day.)
Makes me wonder, sometimes, where some of these writers get their ideas from. There are so many poorly written fanfics out there, it's a nice change of pace to find the few that have good writing, good plot, and...heaven forbid...actually keep the characters IN character.

It's so true. Even though I don't like Houjou much, the stuff some people write about him is just uncalled for, y'know? Wtih all the... all the rape and crud... don't ask.

Believe me, I've seen it ALL. I'm one of the few Hojo fans, and I've seen my fill of crap fanfiction about him. He SO doesn't deserve any of it.
