Hello there. You have made an excellent attempt here, and even more so when taking into considering the medium of ball point pen! There is a nice mix of colours and you have a nice texture on the bird.

I do however feel that there is a slight problem with perspective and shape when you read the subject. I think only minor tweaks are needed to correct these.
For example: The head feels slightly awkward when you read it with the direction of the body. As the head is twisted to the viewer, I think there should be a pinch in the back and front to indicate this, and add separation between head and body. Think of the head as a sphere and run a line from the center of the beak to the back of it and you will see what I mean ...hopefully.

There is a line that runs from the wing up to just under the eye and this makes it look like there is no separation between the mantle and nape area. Again this is minor. I suggest having a look at a bird anatomy chart if you do not understand these areas. If you stick your thumb over this line, you should see the instant change to the form.
I don't know if you looked at this image in the mirror when you were sketching? Its something I normally do, although I do it digitally. It will help you spot mistakes quicker.Its probably one of the most helpful things you could do.
Overall its an excellent attempt and one you should be proud of. I wish you the best of luck in your art.

The tail feathers are delightfully detailed, but the eye is drawn up towards its face, which is less sophisticated. The way it is twisted makes its neck look a little blobbish, as well. However, the gold and gray in the belly and back is well blended and perfectly captures the softness of the feathers.
