Description Colour adjustments only. The floating head effect comes from tying my hair underneath my chin and wrapping a black scarf around.

Counterpart to Perfect I suppose.

Great execution of this shot and I agree with foreverstrange, I prefer this over "Perfect".

I think you are stunning.
Really, really, reeeeaaally beautiful. I watched the Perfect pic, and how you edited it. Good work on it and all that, read what you wrote about it, including all you "flaws", and I didn't see much of what you wrote there in this picture at all...
And everyone has those flaws so, I don't really think it matters, but hey, that's me.

I love your looks, you're beautiful, and if you don't think so yourself that's your choice, just hoping that you'll understand it yourself someday

my flaws exist primarily in my head. Even though I know that, they never go away for me. I think they're physical manifestations of inner ugliness.

Thank you

This is a very confronting image to me at first, almost shocking. In its reduced icon form it looks completely androgynous but your gender comes through in the detail.

kittiquin In reply to newepoch [2009-01-16 10:25:36 +0000 UTC]

perhaps the first time I have ever been androgynous! My hair is so long, and I wear skirts and heels and lace so much of the time I feel hyper-feminine. (I like victoriana, so the lace and heels are a given and would be regardless of my gender, and a wide skirt is about the most comfortable piece of clothing imaginable).

it is strange that a plain, clear image of an ordinary face could be confronting. I guess it's because we have been so bombarded with manipulated imagery of the already genetically blessed that people have lost all sense of what is 'ordinary'. My pimples and facial hair are comparatively extraordinary.

You are as graceful with words as you are truthful with your images. Your description of your clothes is... wow! (I love full length skirts)

All images including this one are manipulated to a greater or lesser degree. As an artist you always have an aesthetic agenda. What after all is 'ordinary'? You are certainly not an ordinary person.

Actually this image reminds me of an ID shot out of some futuristic dystopia. You could be a soldier, a police woman or even a cyborg infiltration unit.

Well, I agree with . The photography is great. Perfect light, perfect angle...just great

Now, I totally understand that the "perfect" version is good too, but I see as two sides of a great picture. The "perfect" as a more commercial or fashion orientated version and the "honest" as a great self-portrait or photojournalism version.

In resume, they are both really well done

And btw, the model is beautiful in both

kittiquin In reply to Hullek [2008-12-03 16:17:14 +0000 UTC]

isn't it so sick that the 'commercial' version, the one that could be used to sell things, displayed in public, is the one that is so far from reality?

thank you people are too kind, at this rate I'll become vain. I'd make a pretty good narcissist I suppose. I'm already self-obsessed, all I need is some self-love and a reflecting pool.

Hullek In reply to kittiquin [2008-12-03 17:46:54 +0000 UTC]

Well, that is why it is commercial ehehehhehe Because people want to buy the "unreal" or the idea that they will look like the "unreal" if they buy that

Hey, a little ego is always good, but just a little, ok??!?? ehehheh
