Description Drawlloween 2023 Day 23: Yokai

It’s yokai time, baby! This year I’m going simple with the yurei, also known as obake, shiryō, and bōrei among others. A yurei is basically a ghost, but their appearance usually depends on how they died. Their hair is usually long and disheveled and their hands hang limply from their wrists. A yurei often occurs when a death was so violent that the soul cannot rest or if the soul has unfinished business. They cannot be put to rest until their goal is achieved (i.e. to bring justice to their murder or to send a message to a loved one) or they are exorcised.

P.S. Please forgive my abysmal Japanese.
