the BW version is a photoshop CS3 experiment, glad you prefer this colored version because i prefer it too. But maybe i overexposed the right side too much.

A little yeah. It detracts attention from the actual iris, and when there's no colour to blend from the eye to the flower the attention goes straight to the yellow and that's not where you want the focus to be. This one is perfect

There is no colouring, just lights/contrasts cause the original was dark.

Her eyes are really like this, the green you see on the right is the reflection of the grass.
They are blue/green and light brown.
