There are plenty of tutorials online, especially for that free Blender program I'd check it out! (I've never used Blender, but I have several friends who love it)

Very nice, and very nicely detailed. You don't see much "low-poly" stuff anymore, wich is a shame, because they kinda make me a bit nostalgic for the earlier days of 3D graphics gaming. (Like the N64 & Dreamcast.)

Thanks! Actually, if you do a bit of searching, a lot of game artists do lowpoly just for fun. It's kind of like making pixel art with limited colors, the limited polys are an extra challenge

Well, to put it simply, the 'faces' are the flat planes that make up the model and the UV map just projects the colors onto it
