Description Graystripe, sharing tongues with his beloved one last time

You really didn't deserve this, and neither did Crookedstar...

Indeed it was a sad thing indeed. Especially because it crushed Graystripe with what came later. If nobody knew of the sad fate of Ryewhisker and Cloudberry then they would believe that this is the best example of why Half-clan pairings can't work. Silverstream was kind of annoying with how she seemed confident that it was okay, but she turned into a better cat later on and tell the truth, she's way better than Millie.

Actually...I think I got a good reason for the Silverstream-Silverpaw thing. But you'll have to read my story.

Broke a lot of hearts this tragedy, it did. And true, another prime example of the downsides of cross-clan love.Β
Silverstream did nag on me a little too, she just didn't seem to worry the slightest about the repercussions of her actions. Her sappy lines while dying bothered me a little more though, I just don't handle ΓΌber-sap that well.
But anything works better than Millie, she was a real disappointment.

Oooh.

Exactly. She just seemed to assume that their love would have no issues and, I'll admit that Graystripe was also too naΓ―ve about this. But it sounds like common young love, two cats who love each other so much but yet they are not ready for the consequences and thus it ends up hurting both themselves and those that they love.

I think Greenflower might have it easier. She and Runningwind love each other just as much as Silver had loved Gray, but both are fully aware of those repercussions and thus try to take steps that can lessen the hurt. Such as meeting outside RiverClan and ThunderClan territory, Greenflower not naming her mate, and the kits not knowing their father.

The pain is lesser, Greenflower is heart-broken over the death of her mate and all her kits except for Ivytail and Dawnflower, but yet the pain ends up being less because Tigerstar suspects nothing.

Aye, a classic is what it is. Though I wouldn't trade that specific story out of the book, I just loved all the instances when Fireheart was the one walking to and fro being all worried about this xD He was hilarious for the whole second book.

Means Greenflower gets away much easier with her kittens not being known to be half-clan, so it's one worry less for her. She's got enough on her plate really, and unlike Silverstream, Green and Running sound as if they made themselves a solid tactic in order not to be discovered, while Silver and Gray threw caution to the wind more often than not.

I think it kind of was meant to show Fireheart how some things can't be held within the warrior code. And maybe that was how Silverstream came to have to honor of granting Firestar a life...

Yep, the Clan never questions her about her silence (that I bet mama Graypool snapped at them to leave her alone) and nobody can really see the ThunderClan traits that Ivypaw and Silverpaw carry. I think Silverpaw was a lot like his father in build, but they would probably associate that with how thin Greenflower is (Being a Cornish Rex) or maybe assume it's her WindClan blood.

I think it would had been nice if Graystripe had put limits. Most of the time his visiting Silverstream had been done at the wrong time, like during the rogue attack which was what made Tigerstar angry. I'm sure Silverstream had instances where she couldn't leave to meet him. Love is good, but yet you must also pay mind to your duties.

True true, most likely so. Worrywart Fireheart was always so amusing.

Heh with a mum like Greypool you'd only need one glare and the whole clan would shut up. And like you said, it's not as if the slender build can't be assumed traced back to Reedfeather instead.

Yep, but apparently none of the two thought much of it, and just ran off whenever the fancy struck'em. Not a good thing if you're trying to be descreet really.Β
