Q&A

What does semi-open mean for this species?
You are free to make as many Plymphs as you want this sheet has no trait rarities and you are free to add on traits like wings, horns, antenna etc,, ( Unless you are on My Public Blacklist or you make/support offbrand you aren't allowed to make or own any at all)
You cannot make a Plymph for the sole purpose of selling them, like an adopt.
Only mutuals/friends/myself can make Plymphs for the purpose of selling them, please do not ask me to follow/watch you just so you can sell them. However you can pay someone to make a custom for you.

What if I fell out of love with my Plymph and want/need to sell them?
Your totally allowed to do that, but you can't advertise it as an adopt. If you bought a Plymph from a designer please only resell for what you bought them for + any comms work.

Is there a DA or Discord?
Nope! This is just a lax species with no ML, if there's enough interest I might make a discord, but it will just be a talk/art space and won't host events.

Do I need to have my Plymph approved?
Nope! No approval is needed or will be given.

Can I ask questions in regards to anatomy and lore?
Yep! There will also be a small lore/anatomy section at the bottom you can read up on.

Can I make a Plymph based on an existing character I own?
Yes! However if they belong to a CS or another kind of species please abide by any rules they have!

Can I mix and match aspects of different Plymph subspecies ie, A plant Plymph with multi eyes or fins etc..?
Yes you may!

For plants can they be fantasy/ plants that don't exist irl, and can they have hair?
Yes, you can do both , plants can be anything you can really think of!

Is there a base I can use/Can I make F2U/P2U bases?
Yes! There's a F2U base Here! You are free to make both F2U and P2U bases and make YCHS as well for them!

Do not use Plymphs to make offbrand of other species by removing or adding on specific traits associated with a Species.

LORE/ANATOMY

Plymphs are simple snail based creatures, they start out as slimey eggs that hatch into snail like creatures that feed on nectar, pollen, and plant matter.
Eventually they grow up they form proper hands and and legs, however their shells stay the same size as when they were young and on their bodies.
During development they form plants internally typically based around the plants they ate the most when they were young.
In adult hood (with the exception of carnivores) they switch over to only living off water, sunlight and nutrients from the dirt. They spend their days opening up their
mouths so their internal plants get sunlight and their root tails buried in the ground soaking up the nutrients of the earth. At night they are more physically active and go about searching
for another cool spot to spend the next day at.
To note also all Plymphs do have mouths, it's just that non-carnivorous keep their mouths so tightly closed it can't be perceived. This is so that
if pesky bugs come by trying to eat their plant or they are in risk of drying themselves out they can shut it so nothing comes in.
Carnivores have visible mouths for the purpose of better chewing and biting, their meaty skin also makes them look appetizing to
passing larger prey that mistake them for carrion and an easy snack. The multiple eyes allow them to view prey approaching from all
angles while they play dead.
During Winter and colder seasons some Plymphs lose their heads and hibernate till there's warmer weather.
Plymphs can survive losing their heads since most of what constitutes their brain is spread throughout their whole body, there is more plant matter
then nerves in their "head" region.
