Day 3 - Ephemeris Magister
Enter the Galaxus Librum a place where all the knowledge of the cosmos is said to be held. The Little Stéarran stopped here in hopes of learning more about what was happening to him and why he was pulled across the heavens. The building looked important and was amazing. On the outside it didn't look much bigger than three floors and was maybe the size of a small castle. On the inside however, it was massive. There were corridors that seemed to stretch on for miles and miles, with countless rooms to be explored.
Huge chambers held telescopes and models of various planets and star systems. The Stéarran looked at them all, hoping one would somehow reveal itself as his home, no such luck. Undeterred, he continued inward where he found the largest room, the library. It was huge, the exterior of the Librum thrice over, if not more, full of many scrolls and books. He began making his way through the room, grabbing anything that looked like it could give him the answers he sought. This went on for hours, and after perusing countless scrolls and books he had yet to find many answers. The most he knew was that the pull was definitely leading him to his true home and that he must follow it or risk fading, something of which was more of a danger to him specifically because he was so small, because he left prematurely. He had also learned about the different beings who might try to hurt him and other dangers he faced on his journey, some of which were very scary to say the least as Rosetta had made clear previously. With a frustrated huff and small tears welling in his eyes, he closed his most recent book and took a moment to pout. During his sulking, a Galaxybaby echo made their way over to him, he looked very important and official.
“May I ask what you are looking for? I have been here for quite some time and may be able to help you?” the scholarly male asked him, a scroll tucked under one arm. The small boy explained his situation as best as he could to the echo who nodded along, face growing more and more curious as the explanation went on. At the end of the explanation, the man seemed to think for awhile and then his expression changed from thoughtful to a sad smile. It seems it was all he could offer as he gave a long sigh before speaking. “I’m afraid I don’t know if you will find your answers here. I don’t think I have ever heard about anyone in your situation before. Hopefully the answers you seek will be along your journey,” he said before turning away with a wave. The man didn't seem too interested anymore and was quite dismissive. He must have had a lot of work to do. Why should he be bothered with the small Stéarran.
The Stéarran was so discouraged he didn't even clamor after the man to ask more, when he certainly could have. Disappointed at the lack of easy answers but more determined to find them, the Little Stéarran left the Librum to continue his quest. He paused outside the door and looked back one more time. He had been so sure the answers he sought would have been there. Was he really so strange that nothing like him had ever occurred, he floated off once again to leave this place.
Unbeknownst to the young boy, a single book had been glowing in the library since he arrived. The keeper saw this though and pulled it down. He read the title and flipped it open, allowing the magic of the Librum to show him what it wanted to show him. After a moment he looked up, stunned amazement on his face.
"This explains everything," he looked around and felt with his magic but it seems the Stéarran had already left, he quietly before putting the book back. He wouldn't leave the Librum he was comfy here, he only hoped the boy would get his answers, because things were definitely more deep and complicated then he originally thought. That little boy was incredibly important to healing a word struggling to maintain balance. He put his hands over his heart wishing for the safe return of the boy home.
