Well, I found myself with some free time this labor day weekend, and created this piece you see before me! Inspired by some of the great OCs here on Deviant Art, I whipped up a veritable "fantastic four" of DA superheroes!Featuring:
's Virtus
's The Jamaican Spider
's Lord Wormm
and my own Manzelle!

Hm... The one in black looks a lot like Deadpool, the green one looks like spiderman, and the pink one has the same powers as Mr. Fantastic... The Sytar on the other hand is cool. I have only seen one other like it.

So...the characters are no longer marvel and i have to edit Bloodrushes backstory a bit. They're now DC because I've been watching smallvile again and i saw Batman: Under the Red Hood. So I placed them in DC. So I changed Bloodrush's teleportation to super speed.

That is actually a very good question. As far as i can remember, Manzelle first saw the light of creation 3 or so years ago in one of my study halls. A friend and I were talking about what superpowers we would have and he decided that he would want to have cleavers for hands. I started drawing myself then, and instead of drawing normal human legs I just drew gazelle ones. Then he suggested I add some antlers for good measure. His original name was Gazentaur, the name Manzelle being suggested by friends sister when we were doing some further sketches.

That's interesting. So...do you have a backstory for him and everything. Like how he came to be a superhero or whatever?

Oh yes indeed, I have conflicting opinions of whether or not I want to divulge that to the public or wait for some sort of publication to reveal it too the world. Basically, he's a Nazi human-animal hybrid gone awry, and forced to wander the world for years due to his enhanced longevity. He's kind of like wolverine meets Hellboy meets a gazelle.

wow. that's awsome. i'm having conflicts for the background for Blood Rush. They're pretty much the same except for how he get's his bio-organic leg. His mother is a crack whore. He learns of his teleportation ability and ends up in iraq in a humvee with his dad. the humvee gets hit. so this is where the cnflict is. either he stays awake, ends up back in america and his brother makes he leg for him. other way is he passes out in iraq and the government gives him the leg.

Holy buckets! That is indeed a messed up back story! Very intriquing, yet very heart-wrenching. A good situation from which arises a superhero i must say.

i know, right? but as i said, i can't figure out which route to go with. i'm leaning more towards the brother track because i'm planning on making a new group. my characters are basically marvel. so i'm thinking of having jean grey be alive and able to control her phoenix abilities and she'll be my groups professor x. but they wont be called the x-men. they'll be known as The Phoenix Project and all of their uniforms will be red and black.

HOLY COWS AND YE GODS that is amazing! On so many levels though...
1) I have never seen Lord Wormm fanart before so obviously, it warmed my heart.
2) Your style is truly beautiful and you are an inspired artist with some tremendous ideas and characters of your own, so it's a helluvan honor!

Hah, thank you kindly good sir! It was my pleasure, i had the inspiration to do a collab piece of some of my favorite superheroes on DA and Lord Wormm's pink and purple suit was just screaming to be drawn!
And yeah! I'm currently hurriedly working on a villain to enter the Secret Wars, I just got his reference page done and now i have 4 days to hammer out a 1 page comic!
Unfortunately, i think i'm too late to submit a hero, but I am quite content with a villain!
