The Gunnison National Forest outside of Crested Butte, Colorado shows off its incredible display of Autumn color as fog moves in shrouding the Aspen trees.It's hard to put into words how beautiful this scene was and how the trees simply glowed and shimmered. Perhaps the word "breathtaking" is best used here.

Hi John! I haven't checked your gallery in a while so I have just took some time to look at your latest 40 submissions (or so) and first of all I want to thank you for sharing your marvelous work with us all; and I don't mean only your productions but your advise and words, process, etc.
I have read in one of your submissions that we may get a look at you by looking at your photos (sorry to simplify your statement on such a dull sentence but that's pretty much what I get), and there's something about this image that got my attention and I decided to look at it for a while (to "really" look at it). I kept looking at this image and it makes me think of peaceful violence, like seeing something beautiful at 10thousands miles per hour and keep seeing despite the speed. Not sure what it is that makes me think of that, but I think it translates into passion, not passion for taking a shot or for work, but for each simple thing of living; like being aware of the anxiety that keeps us breathing.
I might have get it (you) wrong, but it feels OK to look at this image and see a concentrating mind (maybe yours, maybe mine) leading to a headache that will finally give us a sense of calm, peace, quiet, and a smile out of envy for all those things that we are not able to produce but that are out there for us.
(I know this message may not be too clear, not only because of the difficulty of expressing one emotions but also due to language, but anyway wanted to share it with you, just so you get some bigger feedback than just a +fav or a "nice shot".)

I'd like to stare at such a view all the day and all night long (if possible in the dark, obviously ;D ) I love autumn and you proved me it's not a lapse to adore this season cause neither winter, nor summer can compete with such colorful scenery.

Fantastic photo, yet somewhat hard to imagine in "real life". I guess I'd have to travel to the US to fully enjoy the scenery,- but your photography is really soothing. Glad that you were able to figure out how to retain the colors, your blog was very interesting to read. Thanks for taking the time to do so.
