Description
This is one of my favorite Elk photographs from this past Fall and ultimately one of the images which made me decide to pull the trigger on a 500mm lens as I was using a friends when I photographed this.Displaying battle scars in the form of a bloody mouth from a recent fight with another bull Elk, this big guy looked right at me and let out a bugle. I love these animals and during the annual rut is a great to observe and photograph them. Photographed in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado.

You could, it's up to you and how you shoot; your style of shooting. I don't use one myself but for what it's worth, a car window can make a great blind, hence me using a Puffin Pad for the shot here.
