I like your little sketch. The creepy atmosphere of your work is amazing and I love how you have drawn her long and curled hair.
I personally hate spiders - especially how they move. I can imagine how the spider move on her face and therefore I think you have breathed life in this picture.
Your coloration is beautiful. I can not imagine that this picture is only a sketch.

Beautiful. I especially love the stylized arms and shading around the nose and mouth. Seems to have a watercolor aesthetic to my untrained eye ^_^

Yes, markers are very similar to watercolors when using light colors, since they are a transparent medium as well. I like them better than watercolors though, because they dry very fast and you can get much denser and darker colors.

Interesting... Thanks for the tips. I'll probably end up experimenting with both and using one over the other when I want a certain aesthetic. Ain't art fun?!!
