as a somewhat budding paper model artist, would you tell me how you measure a curved line so that the adjoining piece fits and lines up correctly? I hope you don't use a 3d imaging program because I've tried and failed with that, lol. But right now I'm kind of stuck with resorting to straight edges because I can just measure them easily by the pixel on paint.net.

oh intersting. I don't know if I'd be good with that first way. What I do is I measure and count straight line by straight line.
The other way sounds hard too. Thanks for following me on my tumblr btw. x)

Her cutie mark comes out backwards. The zig-zag of the lightning bolt is supposed to mimic the zig-zag of the joints on the leg it appears on, so the tip of the bolt always points towards the rear. The red streak in the bold is always the leading edge, and the blue streak is the trailing edge. This is an often overlooked detail in fan work.

Β its really good. my only suggestion would be to use dotted lines versus just lines to differentiate where to fold and where to cut Β

How thick does the paper have to be? I don't want my papercraft to be too fragile...
π: 0 β©: 1
Kna In reply to Slipshock [2012-09-27 13:37:02 +0000 UTC]
well, anything around 250 grs is too much(probably you will have lots of trouble on the tiny parts). but from 120 grs to 180 it is really okay.i sometimes use 150 grs, or 120 grs.(depends what they sell when i buy)

Slipshock In reply to Kna [2012-09-28 01:18:12 +0000 UTC]
Thanks. Well, it looks like my Samsung CLX-3300 cannot use that kind of paper; it jams every time...
Can I just use normal paper?
π: 0 β©: 2
Alcoreon In reply to Slipshock [2013-09-15 13:56:43 +0000 UTC]
Print on normal paper
cut out
glue onto thicker paper
cut out again
make model
voila!

Kna In reply to Slipshock [2012-09-28 22:49:41 +0000 UTC]
yes, of vourse. just will have to be a bit careful with the head parts,so they do not become crushed.
