in a bit of a art rut and enjoy using his characters to get the gears moving
i used some medieval knight armor for some ideas also. ugh came out so gray though

I like how you detailed the chainmail. It's subtle, but fills in the texture nicely. You must have done some research on the armor, again, it looks pretty spot on!

and i cant seem to ever get chainmail quite as good as you can, seems dull a bit

lol. I just draw "s" over and over. It's a thing about chainmail and the size and tightness of the links. Some chain shirts are almost see-through, as the links are large enough to allow gaps. The tighter the rings, the better the protection, but then the details are less noticeable, it actually looks like fabric. Kinda weird, at work we have a chainmail glove for the meat slicer, but because it's made with modern technology, it really does look like loose knit cotton, like what you might see on the sleeve of your sweater
So put it simpler, I think it looks good
