No, he was simply drawn with such kind of pencils: Koh-i-noor 6B, 4B, 3H (for a sketch), paper A4 and an eraser) That's all)
P.S. While drawing the hidden-blade, I had to keep my 3H pencil sharp - that's why it's so detail)

The shading captures the eye. Excellent! Was it done with an ebony pencil? If so even better (It's difficult, shading in ebony) I swear, that is some of the best shading I've seen in a long while! The form is also great. The hands have such an anatomical and graphical soundness. This is ingenious! Altair's body is so busy, with the cloth folds and the wind, that this has no need even of a background; something I've seen countless others give little thought to and end up with a stale image. Amazing!
