Sorry to be ooey gooey but here's a pile of mush for you:

I only really figured out how much I relate to Twilight Sparkle while I was attending Whinny City Pony Con a couple weekends ago. I knew she was my favorite character, but hadn't yet had to give an explanation why, until someone at the convention asked me what 'appeal' I saw in her.

I realized I saw a lot of myself mirrored in her. She's perfectionistic, loves planning ahead, meticulous about certain facets of her life, goofy, and visibly enthusiastic about her favorite things. She's also incredibly anxious and tends to think of the worst-case scenario before anything else, but she'll do anything to help the people she loves most.

Lately I haven't been as happy as I'd like to be. Things have been a little bit stressful, and having recently sent my fiancé back home to the UK, I've been pretty blue. As a diversion during a depressive episode, I decided to hunt for a Twilight Sparkle plushie online, and that made me think of doing this drawing - depicting Twilight as cheerful, because I want to be cheerful too.
