Description
The meaning of "the holy horrors" had begun to change to him over the years.

Back where he came from, the horrors were the state in the morning after a moist evening out (holy horrors, if it had been exceptionally moist), but he couldn't remember the last time he had been hung over. Arkham City was not real big on fun, sadly, since the moment its citizens began to gather, the Batman usually happened. But still, from time to time, he woke up in the morning feeling exactly like after a night out on the drink.

It was received similarly, though. It starts out fun, then goes over the edge, and ends up in the gutter. But instead of alcohol, there's the Batman. Yet similarly, the Joker had no (will) power over the consumption. Once the bat would decide to wipe the floors with him, he had no chance to put a lid on it until he would stop on his own accord. But like every time after the night out with the lads in Ireland a lifetime ago, he still mysteriously woke up in his own bed in the morning, with no memory about how he had gotten back home.

Hence, the holy horrors applied, he thought.
