LOLSORRY. This looks like an Asian Kyrii. -shot'd- But this is Dyuke--with a frighteningly long snout. And a pink nose. I can't say I'm not proud of it, but I can say I went through way too many trials. (Good things you commished me, Popcorn, because I had not seriously drawn anything in over a month.) Bad on your part, though, because due to my drawing inactivity, my skills degraded a lot. So anyhow. I finally decided, "Hey, if I've gotten so bad--why not start back to the beginning? I mean, with side view pics?" Because side view is always the easiest to go, and you can't go wrong with profile. And it was okay. ;D I like it at least. -lame smile-
So thank you once again, for the commissions. ENDLESS LOVE. =w= Sorry if this is not at all what you wanted or expected. I suck at straying from my sucky style. But remember, if anything bothers you, PLEASE tell me.
Completely done in Photoshop probably 5+ hours? Really quick pic. (After I finished the thousands of trials, of course).

Shading brings a pic to life, but this pic really isn't that good. I mean, I loved it when I completed it, and I don't understand why this pic only got 18 faves when a really really really stupid pic I drew got 38 faves. -sigh- But now I see it could have been better. However, I do thin it's a bit unfair. <_<;; -shot'd for complaining- NOW I SOUND LIKE REGZ. /jaykayjaykay

This was actually a failed shading attempt. =A= But then again, all of my trials end in failures. I'm good at that.
AND YES. That is a shoulder. Not a shoulder blade, but a shoulder. I was trying for that traditional dog profile look (I don't know, I saw it somewhere, where the profile ended in a giant shoulder). But I don't think I got that either. Hmmm. HMHM.

I'm glad you pointed out the ears! The ears were the main focus--well, besides the fluff. I first tried to make it really fluffy--and the fluff needed to look plausible too. Then, I needed to stylise the ears in a way that would resemble the original minkomonster, but would also show a bit of my own interpretation. ^^
If you look at the original Dyuke, you will see his ears part off at the ends. How I made it, the parting was a bit shaper (A BIT?!) and the skin/fur between the part is more visible.
One thing I wish I did with the ears--and I could have done, but was to lazy to--was to add inside ear fluff to even the smaller section of the ear. Lol.

I love dogs ears - they're the cutest part! And the fluffiest. When I stroke my aunt's dogs, I always stroke the ears.
