The official name of this background pony is Time Turner (color, Name, Cutie Mark). It is never mentioned in the series itself but this was the Name for him during the production of the show.


Doctor Whooves on the other hand is a entirely fan-given name. To prevent stupid discussions (like this) I went through the effort and created 2 versions of the card AS well as the artwork. So everyone can have the one they like instead of yelling at me.

Actually the Time Turner card is a oneshot for the TCG, they weren't sure if they could sucessfully get away with calling him Doctor Whooves, since then the official designation has been switched to Dr. Hooves, as per the toys, the comics and the official We Love Fine endorsed T-Shirts.

Therefore I stand my ground, and say that he is THE DOCTOR.

In order to keep the game balanced, we take the existing investigators as a reference. We may change some stats or make little adjustments, but in order to keep the game as balanced as Arkham Horror is, we attach the stats and special abilities from existing investigators to fitting ponies.

It would be a lot easier to simply make the stats up, but this could lead to unbalanced characters. In fact, we managed to plan most of the game through so far with only minor changes and one bigger change.

Ah, I see. Then I'll have to guess which character is going to be which investigator then:

Big Mac <=> Rita Young
Caramel <=> Bob Jenkins
(Daring Do <=> Ursula Downs)
Generic Royal Guard <=> Tommy Muldoon
Lyra <=> Jim Culver / Patrice Hathaway (May have to change one of Jum Culver's special abilities)
Mayor Mare <=> Charlie Kane (Sanity/Stamina 4/6 -> 5/5, Fight 5->4, Will 4 -> 5)
Nurse Redheart <=> Vincent Lee (Speed 3 -> 4, Focus 2 -> 1)
Upper Crust <=> Jenny Barnes

I've borrowed investigators from other expansions because the original investigators may not fit the archetypes of the background characters. Also, we'll probably have to make up Derpy's stat block because no investigator seems to fit her theme. What do you think?

We do have a list ready but don't want to spoil to much of it as it changes every now and then (partly because of your great criticism). But I can savely say that you did in fact guess one of them in this list completely correct!
