I am always interested in the dramatic impact of monochrome portraits. It seems a better medium than a many-coloured painting.
A56 is a great example of this. Also this is (for me) a rare example of a striking portrait where the models eyes are closed. I often start with the eyes - maybe I should not be so fixated. Well done.

I like your reduction of colour like an old photograph, but still old fashion painting. I think I got in my own painings a similar feeling and so it was verry interesting for me to find your folder.
