UPDATE: Skawo has said in his YouTube comment that the Hammer Suit will be returning in Newer Super Mario Bros. U see here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=_jKHWT…UPDATE 2: Newer Super Mario Bros. DS released on Christmas and the Blue Shell is now the Hammer Flower power up which is a mixture of the Blue Shell from the original New Super Mario Bros. DS (not the Kart item) and the Hammer Suit.

What is Newer Super Mario Bros.? They are special mods of the New Super Mario Bros. games done by him and his team for info about the awesome mods see at the very below.
Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii features all of the same power ups from New Super Mario Bros. Wii but with the addition of the Hammer Suit and you are also able to ride a random of 10 different Yoshi's.
Newer Super Mario Bros. DS just features the same ones from the original DS but now the Hammer Suit and Blue Shell have been merged to a Hammer Flower! Though now you have to run fast enough enough and while holding "Y" + Down you can go shell surfing. It was annoying in the original game that when you run good enough you automatically go in the shell making it tedious.
Newer Super Mario Bros. U is very likely they will keep the same nine power ups (But the Propeller and Penguin Suit possibly replaced) from the original game and maybe a new power up i predict either the Double Cherry. But who knows maybe they will do some cool changes. I would love for them to bring back the colored adult Yoshi's since they were absent in the original game due to the Baby Yoshi's and I noticed in the original games files there was a blue baby yoshi with no bubbles they should make it a Green Baby Yoshi and also give the Baby Yoshi Eggs like the E3 Trailer and make it so you can't bring them with you to levels cause they are broken. I also thought of a red one having a flame breath. A Newer Super Luigi U would be cool but that is all on the team but they can at least use some files to the Mario version anyways since they are the same engine
Newer Super Mario Bros. 2? Well they are not making one...yet Skawo says it will not happen but he said the same thing about not making the Wii U version yet that happened so it's likely it could happen.

The Blue Shell didn't appear in the mods. Also I made that hammer mario sprite so of course it's unofficial.
