Description (c) J.R.R. Tolkien (characters)
(c) Peter Jackson (adapted character)
(c)Kooskia (fancomic)

The Hobbit was one of the early fantasy book i've read and together the Lord of the Rings was something that i loved. Having grown (both age and reading experience), i can now easily say that the book isn't free from defects (not simply a more childish theme, but the actual structure of the book, useless characters, twisted character development, des ex machina and twists in changes during developments and writing of the book itself).

Honestly i'm not much happy to see lots of criticism toward Peter Jackson movies "because he did differently from the book". Actually i think he did better, especially making edits and personal inventions.

I've really appreciated and i'm liking much the character of Azog the defiler, and i was very happy to see also Bolg on screen. Considering that i make often little parodies of what i love, here a little comical sketch between Azog and Bolg (for who has not read the books, actually Bolg it's Azog's son... Tolkien himself hasn't been much certain about orcs reproduce and this was an issue he left unexplained due the development of his books. ).

Comments and opinions are extremely welcome ^^

I have to hug you. I definitely have to hug you.
It's so bad that people don't realize that movies are different medium than the books... although I used to be one of such people.

I can adds that (as many fantasy-fans) i've "born" with such love after reading for the first time exactly the Hobbit as very first fantasy as child. I loved it and i love it for the book that it is.
But criticizing P.Jackson because "he make the story different" it's just stupid.
Tolkien himself wrote very different books from styles, and the Hobbit books has a number of issues as book itself.

P.Jackson managed to bring a good deal of "LOTR" elements in the Hobbit, and he did it well! 'cause Tolkien himself had then later to works on making explains about how the Hobbit "works" in the Arda world.

Β To be fair by giving Legolas Greenleaf a nosebleed Bolg has outdone every single Villain in the series - so OF COURSE Azog would be proud of his protege, he's second only to Lurtz in terms of actually managing to damage the Heroes of Middle Earth!Β  Β Β

Exactly x3 plus at least 1 elf on his kill-count xD
Now i remember he's clearly seen killing one with the sword-cub, just before wounding Kili.

At this point i'm wondering (and hoping) WHO and how many kills of good characters could claim both Azog and Bolg before meeting their ultimate end x3

Hehe no problem Xp
Honestly i switch my support day by day xD
This even when i play the AWESOME mod-game of battle for the middle earth-2 (the "Edain" mod"), every true fan of LOTR should have played it, because is 100times better than original game

Β I'll take your word for it, for it's been a while since I played a computer game on a PC (WHY MUST YOU ALWAYS, ALWAYS FREEZE AT THE BEST PART COMPUTER SCREEN?!?).

Oh...because it's a pity! There is Battle for the middle earth I, then the II and the expansion of II
There are multiple mods (player-modification of the game) done by fans.
The game itself is one of the best strategy games because gathering resources is easy and fast, and you can mass armies with really hundreds of warriors and you can zoom pretty much in game to watch battles.
A germa team of fans basically reworked the game into this mod, that's possibly one of the best ever strategy-games.
If you just search "Edain Mod" on youtube, you could enjoy good samples of games x3

Thanks x3 I'm very happy of what P.Jackson is doing.
I remember years ago, while reading LOTR that i was fascinated by the stand-alone chapter with the history of dwarvs and their war with the orcs, and Azog ever got my interest being one of the most formidable orc warrior.

He is definitely a unique person and a leader. I just wish there was more of him in the movies...

Yeah x3

However i guess the bets for how things will be done are started!
Who-kills-who etc...
But will not give my opinions here, if you've not read the book, being spoiler x3

That's interesting moment. I have mixed feeling about the book and the movie. The Hobbit is actually a fairytale with Christian-based plot (the clear difference between good and evil, devil-like villiains as Smaug the Magnificent, Necromancer). I would like to see the more cannon Hobbit/Lord of the Rings/Silmarilion with full versions of songs and Bombadil's part as a cartoon version, but PJ's version is nice too, like an action movie in Fantasy set. I look forward for Temeraire adoptation, but I have the doubts about possibility of PJ's adoptation. A budget of TV series is not compare to the Hobbit's budget.

Oh well... i'm a bit glad he made more an adventure/epic story, especially because it's suite and stick more with the LOTR (both movie and book): also some elements (Smaug's motivations, dangers etc..) are all directly took from further writing of Tolkien (as the meeting between Thorin and Gandalf).
