very beautiful.
the shading and flow in the fabric, their hair is quite lovely. expressions are intense and real.
i believe you took the depictions of the couple from the abomination that is the OVA 'seisohen' ("samurai X-reflections") and gave them some life.

if you're talking about the OVA 'samurai X -reflections' where kenshin who in manga/anime has such high ideals and principles, who would never willingly cause harm, who did everything he could for the 'new' generation that he helped create, who would allow himself to be injured before causing someone else serious injury.
then (according to the OVA) turn around in his later years- give up his integrity, his honor, his beliefs, ideals and principles-- to leave his family (his son, part of that generation he fought for) on extended periods, or to go to china to teach troops to kill for the government (in manga starting at [link] he told yamagata aritomo when he was offered a government position that he uses his one sword to protect those close to him- to protect their happiness) a man of honor with his principles and ideals, would never knowingly give his wife a fatal disease, nor to make her raise his son alone. the depictions of the character of kenshin was a blasphemy.
they took a strong willed, outspoken, vibrant and fiery woman who was the essence of kaoru and turned her into a depressed and weak lump. the manga/anime kaoru would have set him straight if he had gotten any wanderlust, she and their friends would have followed him and dragged him back gagged and tied (then kaoru would have beaten some sense into him).
i'm not saying that the artwork wasn't beautiful or that the story while totally OOC wasn't depressingly dramatic. the actuality is that watsuki-sensai ('rk' creator) had always envisioned that kenshin and kaoru would have a happy ending as he depicted in the 'kenshin kaiden' (an extra manga after the manga, you can find the manga and extras at onemanga.com/Rurouni_Kenshin -and to quote watsuki-sensai, he said that "Kenshin went through so much crap and deserved a happy ending."). 'seisohen' was not written, nor was it approved by watsuki-sensai-- it was the studio's attempt to cram some of a corrupted version of the jinchuu arc (of the manga) into a scripted "tedious and depressing melodrama" by a 'gundum wing' writer that was lying around so that they wouldn't have to animate the completed manga.
i call it an abomination because it is not canon-- merely a completely OOC work of fan fiction that people who never read the manga are erroneously lead to believe is the true ending-- that kenshin would betray his integrity, ideals, principles and vows.
please read the manga, you may enjoy it- onemanga.com/Rurouni_Kenshin
ciao!
