Description

Continuing to lay low while the world deals with COVID-19, and that (currently) means more drawing practice. I decided to continue a loose theme that I had with my previous work, and picked another RPG character - in this case, the infamous goblin arcane trickster, Scribbles the Literate. I pull out the old sketch that I had done (www.deviantart.com/koshindou/a… ) and tried to make the proportions line up better with the designs for the Pathfinder goblins. In the process his equipment got updated a bit to represent his upgrades since I drew him (back in 2015!) and he decided to show off his new fireball spell.

The colors came together fairly quickly, certainly more quickly than they did for the Meridiana picture. Part of that is a bit of practice, certainly, but I think it's also a simpler sketch to start with, and I didn't bother coming up with a background (since the original didn't have one). I did play around with some options and ideas for things like the fireball effect, but I didn't do anything fancy - I wanted to get this done before I got distracted (and I have some other sketches I'm hoping to do). Overall, I'm pretty happy - he actually looks (somewhat) like a real Pathfinder gobbo now!
