her gestalt is a female, but her replicant form is mixed up that she somehow ended up being an intersex due to an error.
intersex is a mixed of two genders that create a "third" gender.
kaine is not a man because she isn't born as one. in fact, due to the fact that she mostly act as a female, then by logic she is a female.
