01.16.14 - Super Mario: End GameWith this one, I was sort of shooting for a cartoon-y, comic-book feel with very simplistic shading, coloring and texture...feel like it worked out well enough. Outline, title and shading done in Illustrator, the rest in Photoshop. Probably about 14 or 16 hours of work spread out across a week.
Of course all character rights for Bowser and Mario belong to Nintendo, and the design is my own under the works of Fancy Pants Artistry.

Wow. That's pretty awesome. Mario looks very Smash Bros. Brawl with his expression, which is always a plus.

Thanks! I was just trying to make the goofy bugger look more serious, like Bowser not only kidnapped Peach, but severely hurt/murdered her. Dark, sure, but I wanted to make it more serious than the other Mario stuff out there.
