06.07.2014 - The Old Republic: Rise of an Empire
After about a month and a half, and what was around 70 hours of work, the first poster in this series is complete. The intended story of this "movie" is the tale of Revan's fall to the dark side, taming of his apprentice, and rise of his army and empire through the discovery of the Star Forge. All of which are pre-cursor to Knights of the Old Republic.

Okay, here's the movies and/or seasons we need of the old republic
The Great Hyperspace War
The Sith war and surrounding conflicts
The Mandalorian Wars and Jedi Civil War
The Great Galactic War
The Galactic War (including the Eternal Empire conquest)

Are you talking about Bastilla? I made this poster to represent the time in which Revan was a Sith Lord, before his interactions with her. During the time of the Star Maps, Star Forge, and up to his battle with Malak that broke his memory leading into the next poster, which has Bastilla, Carth, etc. This one was all about the Dark Side, while Revelations of the Revanchist was all about his rediscovery of the light.

Yeah, I dream of the day Disney decides to milk the cash cow further and make a solid Revan Trilogy. Story's already written, and people would see it time and again because it's such a good story.
Have you heard of Apeiron? It's a KOTOR remake in Unreal they've been working on for the past many years, you can watch videos on Youtube, pretty dang cool looking.

My word this is gorgeous!!! I have been waiting for someone to do these games justice with a proper poster and you have hit the nail on the head! The shadows, blurs, and flare effects are perfect and mold all these images into one eye catching piece. I have other starwars posters produced by the film company and this would fit right in without anyone knowing it's a game. Well done!

Hahaha, thank you! It would be a VERY great idea for them to make a film, but I'm pretty-sure rights or something along those lines between Lucasfilm, Disney and Bioware prevent a Revan film from being created, let alone them developing this new cannon universe.
I definitely am going to see all the new movies, though

Yeah, it pretty-much tells the story of Revan PRE-KotOR and breaking into KotOR. Or that's the intention for the movie I had in my head while making this poster

I love this poster and I love the game. It may not hold up by current RPG standards but it certainly set the bar for how GOOD RPG's SHOULD be. It also made me really enjoy a Star Wars game not just for the action, but its storytelling. The Old Republic that followed was great, but never hit that bar of excellence that I wanted it to be. Still, its sequel might have been choppy but certainly had memorable characters and great action sequences.

Yeah, both KotOR games had their merits. I really enjoyed the second for how much it expanded on what the original didn't do, but held it's faults. To Obsidian's credit, the game was extremely rushed and thus why the story sort of just abruptly ended. I remember sitting there bewildered that I had just beaten the game when it just felt like the middle. The Old republic was a fantastic game, it just wasn't and isn't all that great of an MMO. With WoW still dominating the market as MMO done right, they really should have just stuck with single-player with perhaps a Diablo-esque multiplayer element. The MMO aspect of it just sort of gutted what it could have been.

No problem. ^^ It's always nice to see fellow lovers of this series. It certainly has a great mythos, the era of the Old Republic that is. From KotOR to KotOR II and then to Old Republic it certainly help set the bar for what kind of age it was before politics and peacekeeping was the norm for Jedi and two was the standard number for Sith. Plus it didn't hurt to have great main characters with a stunning support cast. I still can remember how blown away I was to find out my main character was Revan or when the Outcast was declared "The Death of the Force,". Both of which are great twists for the Star Wars Universe and fit that mold of Epic Reveals that was set back in Episode V: Empire Strikes Back.
