Description
The Reik-model Assault Craft is a WarDrive-produced, Atmospheric Arms-operated assault ship. Often necessitating an escort, it is classed as a frigate in a naval sense and offers little other than its four scalar howitzers when it comes to void warfare, but this is not its objective. Rather, it carries a host of forty dropships, sixteen shuttles, and one hundred twenty-eight - sixteen squadrons - AM-series fighter-bombers. As far as ground compliment, a full Imperial Maniple - twenty-four hundred men and their associated equipment - is carried aboard each of these craft. Fire support and defense is provided by eight quad 100mm mounts, six rapid-reaction missile networks, four lasers, and twenty-four missile tubes. In a pinch, its forward/upward open-cycle fission thruster can be used as a bombardment weapon.
