One of the new generation Pokemon that grew on me.The more I look at it, though... the more it reminds me of a bug gladiator in a wheelchair.

Reminds me of either that short knight enemy combined with Buzzer from the Kirby video game series or the Shogun ant creature from Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars for the Super Nintendo.
