Pretty self explanatory if you know Ocarina of Time or just the Zelda-verse in general... Link playing the ocarina surrounded by the six sage medallions.
My original thumbnail/rough sketch for this drawing had the ocarina backwards because I'm dumb and drew the image without reference. As a result I had to flip the image and re-draw it to make everything right because I knew hardcore Zelda fans would notice and care if the ocarina was backwards. I know I'm picky about details in InuYasha art, after all.
This is a further attempt to incorporate more texture into my work. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!

This is so much awesomesauce.
I like the simplicity of it.... just Link and the medallions.... and yet there are also all those lovely embellishments and textures.... Heh, the design makes me think of the clock tower in Majora's Mask.
I never really thought much of the medallions in the game----they seemed so inane next to other acquirable items that let me smash stuff or breathe underwater.... But I just enjoy seeing them get some love here.

You are correct. Its supposed to be song of time /right, a, down, right, a, down...I tried it that way since v is like the down part. It was very hard to think it/create it that way. But hey, you got it right anyway.

This was absolutely perfectly executed. You got everything completely correct. The background you used it also well done. The only real contradiction is that he has all the medallions, yet doesn't have the Golden Gauntlets. Unless that's just a mistake on my part. And Link only has one pierced ear. Other than those minor technicalities, this is very well done. (:

I wasn't going for continuity in the game, I was going for representation of the major aspects/symbols of the game. Just because the medallions are shown behind him doesn't necessarily mean he is in possession of them.
And as for the pierced ear... no, he has two. The official artwork in the game clearly shows two. Right ear: [link] Left ear: [link] The sword strap is going the same direction in both images so it isn't flipped. In Twilight Princess all of the official artwork has two, and in Skyward Sword he has two both as a student at the academy and after he receives the fire earrings later in the game (which are presented in Nintendo's SS guide book as a pair).
I'm a detail whore, so I pay very close attention to stuff like that. : P
