No ref for the bg, all done on paint tool SAI
no fancy tree brushes or snow or grass etc used here all done by hand. I felt as if i've learned a lot from this drawing about horse anatomy, drawing horse hair by scratch with no brushes takes ages and.. bushes are hard
I am pretty pleased with the falcon also showed in this piece, [link] I think ima have to make him a character of mine because I'm falling in love with falcons they are totally awesome
Time spent: Well been doing it for a week sorta on and off whenever I could I'd probably say around 7-8 hours. The actually greyscale of the horse took forever I would really reccamend zooming in because I put a hell of a lot of effort on the detail
Soo soooo sorry for that ugly watermark, I've put it there cos i've been having problems with art freaky wierdos...
I totally do Not agree with tracing. I sketch out everything I do and have people to back me up on that.

Story:

Seabass walked into the arena with Straightened hair?? A massive rose on his headcollar and a shaven heart into his coat for the valentines show. He hardly felt manly His groomer thought he looks stunning, his coat was gleaming on this sunny winters morning. All the snow had started melting because the sun came out, athough it was still very cold . He strutted into the ring after the warm up he has he was feeling a lot better and ready to strut his stuff! He walked in with an extened walk that was more than pretty . The test went really really well - for his first show he was doing really well and behaving like a true gentelman! "Think he likes valentines afterall" said his rider
As he went into an extended trot into the middle of the arena who else but the falcon comes in for a flight to show off! He flies in with all his glory and what a sight to see on this fabulous winter morning, the falcon passes out Seabass and looks behind and it looked as if he smirked at him. The falcon started to stretch his wings and really go for it the riders stood outside of the ring in amazement when Seabass was trying to keep his concentration, "what a sight" said his rider

I really hope you enjoyed reading the story and looking at the drawing. i spent ages on it and really hope that you guys like it!
I really reccamend zooming into it because there are many details this drawing.
