Ironhide from the Generation 1 era of TransformersArtwork totally modelled in 3D Studio Max, cel rendered into lineart in Swift 3D, then coloured in Flash and touched up Photoshop.

wow, this is a blast from the past! Its been like 9 years since I did this, wow, I nearly forgot about it! This was back when I just did cel-rendered TFs. I'm sorta doing a bit of that in the TF Ignition project, but not to the extent of Ironhide here.

I don't have any tutorials made up as of yet, but really all I did was build characters in a 3D program called "3D Studio Max" and then used a plugin called "Swift 3D" which turns it automatically into a cel shaded render. And any touchups were done in a program called Flash (was originally Macromedia Flash, but it is now Adobe Flash)

Lol actually, Ratchet and a new version on Ironhide ARE on my "to-do soon list". Don't know why but I always liked those vans. Have a few design and style ideas that I want to use for them. Hopefully they'll be done soon, if all goes as plan.

Great job on the ironhide. The pose that you choose for him really shows what he is like in the comics and the show. Keep up the good work. Also love the shadow.
