Yes, he deserves a spin off rather than Obi wan, of which we already know enough things...

Disney shouldn't have bought Star Wars in the first place. They are worse at pleasing fans than Hasbro is. I just watched a video that said about George Lucas selling Star Wars to Disney and how he was ambivalent about seeing The Force Awakens. Disney were so mean, greedy and money grabbing, they wouldn't even him get involved with this own story-ideas afterwards.

Disney does not offer any innovative ideas. Neither in the stories, nor in the costumes,
nor in the ships, nor in the planets, nor in the characters. They don't answer any political
questions (where does the first order come from, why still the rebellion etc ...)
The first six movies form a story and it's the one that I like because coherent.

I guess that explains why they didn't George Lucas' ideas. They practically betrayed him. They only seem to care about making lots of money. I remember having a big Star Wars book that offered lots of innovative story ideas after episode VI; the empire was in disarray, they kept stormtroopers old designs, had Leia as a Jedi, resurrected Palpatine from the dead and they even had this new alien race called the Yuuzhan Vong, who used organic technology. I think that those story ideas were from The Fate of the Jedi, but I can't be sure. Thanks to Disney, those story ideas will probably never be followed up on. Talk about wasted potential.

Okay, thanks for the link. I've read the article now. I wish that I could remember the name of that Star Wars that I read over years ago.

Me, I have read the novel by Timothy Zahn "Heir to the empire" there are many time ago. It was the real sequel of Return of Jedï, with Mara Jade character, "The hand of Emperor"...

It's a similar situation with Hasbro. I'm Transformers fan and they don't offer innovative ideas or storylines, either. Like Disney, they just do it for the money and aren't great at pleasing fans. Like for example, they cancelled Prime and started making RID 2015, which a lot of TF fans hate. They cancelled Animated to make way for the second Transformers movie. They're not as bad as Disney, however.
Sounds like an interesting novel. I've heard of Mara Jade vaguely.

Poor Mara Jade will probably never be in any Star Wars movies, thanks to Disney! If she was to ever be in a Star Wars movie, what actress would play her?

A redhead of course! But, you know, I preferred a not-famous actress. In my opinion This gives her an opportunity to more naturally embody a character. But the studios do not want to take any more risk, and employ only stars or actors rather mediocre.

I already knew that Mara Jade was a red head. Unfortunately, we'll never get to find out who will play her now. I personally think that Star Wars should belong to George Lucas, not greedy Disney! I mean, mixing Star Wars with those cheesy Disney characters is like mixing Star Trek with Looney Tunes.

Lucas should have been kept as a consultant to give the new characters more consistencies
and that the intrigues offer more suprises in the stakes. His absence is for many in the choice
of a villain absolutely not charismatic. The latest Star Trek movies are much more faithful to the saga,
in my opinion. Terminator will go back to James Cameron as a producer and offer the real T2 sequel.
But Star Wars becomes banal.
