Thank you for saying it for me! Honestly, I want to read a book, not listen to someone read it to me like I'm a child, waiting for a bedtime story. This goes to show that people have gotten terribly lazy over the years literature has somewhat evolved.

Man oh man, I feel for you. While I don't work in your line of work, the minute I saw those nook things, I was confused and rather adverse to them. It's just not the same as reading an actual hold in your hands can't put down because it's so amazing book. It's just flicking your finger and there's the next page. And it's putting you guys out of business. Let's just hope there are enough "actual book" lovers in the world to keep that thing from taking over the whole business....*shudders*

This happens to be an example of sibling rivalry for me. This summer I was looking to work part time, and one of the places happened to be a bookstore. My brother, on the otherhand, was using this summer to see if he wanted to buy an e-reader.

Thanks for being brave enough to say it like it is. (Those announcements are so annoying. I'm glad I can't hear them all the time because I work in my stores cafe.)

I don't really get the appeal of the nook, anyway.
When I read, I want to hold the fucking book in my hand.

Not that corporate sees the inherent conflict of interest.
