In case no one's mentioned before
and I personally thing they should
What I'm trying to say in my rhyme
is that as a dragon artist you're good
Many others have tired to draw one
and here you are right from the start
Drawing your first dragon wonderfully
it captures my blue eyes and my heart
If you want to consider doing more
well I've written a few dragon poems
I opened my mind, imagining stories
and simply let my mind loose to roam
Now though they all need illustrated
hence my contact with you here today
I'll gladly let you read them if you want
now I'll simly wait, to hear what you say!
Shane.
P.S. ...for instance :-
How to catch a dragons tear.
"Now are we all sitting comfortably?"
"Then we'll let Merlin cast his spell."
"It only takes a few magic moments,
firstly though, do you all feel well?"
"Good, ok then, let's begin our trip."
We watched Merlin raise his wand.
Then a warm sandy breeze hit us,
when he quickly lowered his hand.
The candles danced and flickered,
playing shadows on the castle walls.
The fire struggled, and I asked him,
βWill this work? I can't hear it's calls.β
He looking at me with pitying eyes,
then laying a wizard's hat by his side.
A moon and stars on the dark cloth,
sewn onto it, were worn with pride.
On a small breath of wind blown in,
I couldnβt be certain, I heard a voice.
It blew again, yes it is and itβs warm,
we huddled together, no real choice.
βWhoo summmooned mee?β it said,
in a slow voice, βIβll make it clearer.β
Then the Grand hall became lighter,
as it slowly came nearer and nearer.
We'd felt the warmth of fiery breath
and heard the sounds of heavy feet.
Plodding towards us, the walls shook,
it's Maria who said,"We're dead meat."
The dragon looked round the corner,
evidently it thought, who's in there.
Weβd all stood up and stepped back,
all except for Maria. She didnβt care.
It's forked tongue slipped in and out,
then Merlin spoke, "I summoned you."
I need one dragons tear for my spells.
It replied, "That's a thing I wont do!"
In it's slow deep voice it continued,
"For you to get a tear Iβll need to cry!"
"There's no way I will do that for you,
why I'd sooner roll over now and die."
βNo, it's all of you who'll be the ones ,
to cry, I've been wrongly summoned!β
Then Merlin nodded to Maria the fairy,
it ended saying, "You're not pardoned!"
Quickly flying high, Maria circled it,
and landed in the middle of itβs eyes.
As we watched her go to itβs nostrils,
I shouted up to Maria, βIs that wise?β
She smiled back, then she slid down,
in between them as it was still moist.
Keeping both her wings in together,
least it breathe, she was able to foist.
Herself onto it, so then by holding,
both it's nostrils closed, it was stuck.
It could no longer draw in fresh air,
to make it's fire, so we were in luck.
Merlin, who was carefully watching,
spoke out to her, Well done, bravo!β
"Youβve defeated it, well my dragon,
you did you best, but you better go!"
The dragon tried itβs best to snort,
but Maria held both nostrils tightly.
Merlin gave it a stern look, so then,
it'd started to move around slightly.
βWould you care to rejoin us now?β
Merlin asked Maria. His face glowed.
βIt's perfectly safe now you've won,
and it's the way out that I showed!"
I saw some disbelief in Maria's eyes,
but Merlin nodded. Itβs then a tear.
Slipped down the old dragons face,
so Maria caught it without any fear.
I'm sure at that the dragon winked.
I said, while Maria flew back over,
"Arenβt you going to stop it Merlin"
but he said, "Iβm not itβs real owner."
The tear was as big as Maria's hand,
as Merlin thanked her he'd opened,
a small glass container to save it in,
when it slipped inside it glistened.
βI'll use this tear, in my best spells,
itβs really rare and hard to get one!β
βWe now owe a round of applause,
to Maria, cause that was well done."
As we clapped Maria bowed down,
then she'd simply said, "Thank you,
it's the first time, I sat on a dragon."
"I'm sure it's what you would all do."
We nodded agreement, but I felt,
more than a little uneasy by this.
I hoped he'd would never ask me,
it's one Merlin job I'd gladly miss.
The last I saw of the large dragon,
was the end of it's rather long tail.
Now you know how we got a tear,
so youβll can get one, without fail.
Shane.
Thanking you in advance for your reply.

Its really well made, but like said before, i first thought , huh, Bobb Eggleton is here? You should write down that you referred to him. And IF it was your first dragon, it would be the more surprising you made it that well in an insant, if you wouldnt have copied it. ( i learned drawing dragons from copying other great artists, till i found my own style)

which paper did you use? See.. I'm making this leather book with all the dragons i can come up with. I'm estimating around 100 dragons with their Description. Well.. Anyway.. I wanted to have some old paper feel in the book so it looks old.
